Photocopy of a microfilm copy of a typescript . Weight wrote about his early life in England and his conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He migrated to the United States in 1849 and came to Utah in 1851. He settled first in Salt Lake City, Utah, where his wife died in child birth. Weight married Mary Milnes. He wrote about grasshopper troubles in 1854 and about his move to Springville, Utah, in 1856. He worked as a plasterer and a general laborer and faced constant trouble to support himself and his family. He married Elizabeth Babcock in 1865 and was found guilty of unlawful cohabitation in 1888.
