Handwritten autobiography of Belinda Marden Pratt. Discusses her marriage to Benjamin Abbot Hilton by a Baptist minister. She sees a handbill in 1843 about a Mormon preacher. She and her husband get baptized but he apostatizes. She is instructed by Lyman Wight to join the Saints while she still has a chance. Never using her real name, she stays with the Monroe family in Nauvoo and works as a dressmaker. She is sealed to Parley P. Pratt in 1844. She goes with Pratt on his journey to the Eastern States and supports herself by knitting and dressmaking. Her first son, Nephi is born in February 1846; soon after he is born, she has to flee to Council Bluffs. 15 photocopied leaves.
