Letter from Kane, Philadelphia, to Bernhisel, draft, sending Bernhisel a draft of letter to Fillmore and a resolution for the House, Grant has informed him of the practice of polygamy, that knowledge has given him "deep pain and humiliation," he still wants to help them. Letter to [Fillmore?] from Kane, asking for a Congressional committee to investigate the charges against the Mormons that are a "matter of public concern," on the back side, a resolution, asking that the charges made by the officers of Utah be referred to a special committee. Dated December 29, 1851.
