The Nauvoo Expositor was a newspaper published by apostate members of the Church who were opposed to plural marriage (this practice had been growing in Nauvoo at the time). Their purpose in this edition was to expose Joseph Smith. Edited by Sylvester Emmons. Only one issue published. The press was destroyed by order of the City Council. Purpose: To expose Joseph Smith. June 7, 1844.
