Pamela first learned to sew\rin junior high school in home economics. She continued to learn and improve her skills throughout her life and sews anything ranging from clothing alterations to wedding gowns. She began sewing jean quilts to carry on a tradition for girls a church organization called Young Women’s who graduated high school.
-
Over the course of 4 years, 2006-2010, she made around 40 jean quilts. After 2010, she only sewed these quilts for family and close friends and would give them as graduation, Christmas, or wedding gifts. She continues to make them, though, much less frequently than she used to.
-
The following images display quilts made after 2009. These quilts have much more detail than the ones she first made. The detail shown represent something specific to the owner of the quilt. Such details include song lyrics, poems, inside jokes, hobbies, important dates, quotes etc.

I contacted the family and friends I knew that my mom had made a jean quilt for. They sent me pictures. Under each image is a description of who the quilt was given to, their relationship to Pamela, and for what occasion the quilt was given.
